Question MSI Gaming Plus Max no audio from onboard or front jacks

I have a new build. Standard as standard.. Ryzen 3600, Gaming Plus Max, 16GB Vengence RAM.
Everything is perfect - loaded latest drivers for chipset and audio from MSI website. No errors etc in device manager.
Installed Realtek Audio Console and Nahimic as instructed etc.
Bios is latest stable version 1.0.0.5.

BUT... no sound from rear or front audio jacks. It senses me plugging in the speaker cable for my audio and even shows the volume as I play a video on the Realtek audio output as it would normally - but no actual output is coming from the jacks...

I did a fresh reinstall of windows. Exactly same problem again.

Spent a few days trying every possible fix it seems, but the fresh Windows 10 install is indicating it is the board.

Any ideas????? Should I just use a separate sound card - the sounds works via hdmi etc...

Many thanks in advance.

Go to bios and make sure you have the HD Audio controller enabled (Setting\Advanced\Integrated Peripherals). Uninstall your current realtek drivers, audio console and nahimic. Try installing the other driver so if you tried Realtek HD Universal Driver from msi site, try using Realtek High Definition Audio Driver from the same site instead. That's how I fixed my issues with realtek audio on my z370 godlike gaming, didn't touch nahimic or audio console, don't need them as they provide nothing I cannot change in windows sound already.

Bought a separate sound card which sounds great and worked instantly. I just have a feeling it is a software issue rather than a 'faulty' motherboard, but I could not resolve it.
