So I bought a basically brand new 1070 MSI 1070 Gaming X and started overclocking in Afterburner. I've never seen a card perform so badly, especially compared to others I have seen. With Voltage at Max and Temp limit at Max the most I can muster is +70 core clock and +460 memory. At these settings the temperatures never seem to pass 64 degrees according to 3d mark Firestrike results which had a score of 13589.

I did install the MSI Gaming app and clicked turbo mode if that matters at all. My previous MSI Armour RX 570 had way more head room and reviews claim this card should do at least 150 core and as much as 700 memory. Am I missing something? My power supply is a Corsair RM750X(newer 10 year warranty version). I should all CPU is an i7-2600k overclocked to 4.6ghz.

Well, that card apparently wasn't a silicon lottery winner. your memory OC isn't bad it's the core clock that could be a little better. Welp, you'll get a good one next time
