I have an MSI GE60 0ND laptop, which has 8gb of ddr3 ram. It has another slot open for an added 8gb stick, but I am not really sure what to buy. I assume you need the exact same type of stick, not the same brand, but same stick in general for it to work. If anyone could find the type that I need, which I could purchase, that'd be great! Here is all of the information I have on what is already inside: http://prntscr.com/2muer8 http://prntscr.com/2muf75 If you are unable to read the picture of the stick itelf, it is a Nanya 8gb 2Rx8 PC3 12800S 11-11-f3.1600 Thanks!

Yes - Mixing brands and voltages can be a problem at times. If you already have this new RAM it is worth a try, but I would not recommend that you go and buy new RAM with a different voltage.

This matter has been discussed before at...

The speed (PC 12800), the timings, and the voltages must match. The one you have picked is 1.35V - is the Nanya also 1.35V?

Okay this one is 1.5 volt. The timing is 11-11-11, it has the same latency, the same pin, its also 12800s at 1600 mb/s. Am I missing anything?

This matter has been discussed before at Tom's. Here: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1702500/mixing-ram-voltage-problem.html

My recommendation is to buy a new matched set of the capacity you desire.
