(My specs can be seen on the benchmarktest)
Hello, I have problem with the msi ge60 apache pro. I have already sent in my laptop to Ibuypower which they sent it to msi to fix. My original problem was that anything installed in my hard drive would result in fps drops no matter what program I use. Programs installed in my ssd were working fine. Ibuypower notified me that my laptop had overheating issues (which it really didn't ) which is why they sent it to msi. Now after I got my laptop back I am having overheating issues after they have "fixed" my laptop. For example, I go into csgo with lowest settings. My cpu runs at 96c and gpu at 60-65c, at start screen not even in game I am getting high as 90c cpu. The laptop feels cold or slightly warm but not hot as before (compared to before I sent to msi when I hit 95c). My fps fluctuates from max fps (200-300) to very low fps (20-30). This is not after gaming, this is right when I start a game when the laptop is at normal temps. 95c is concidered normal on the ge60 according to msi and other owners, but I shouldn't be getting constant fluctuation of drops(I didn't before I sent in my pc).
I did a 3dmark test and here's the results:
Benchmark run: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/11307884
firestrike 101: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/7950364
Skydiver 1.0: http://www.3dmark.com/sd/3943494
Cloudgate 1.1: http://www.3dmark.com/cg/3544304
icestorm 1.2: http://www.3dmark.com/is/3711914
I have tested other games and the fluctuating is still the same (people call the fluctuating being sluggish). I was wondering if anyone have any ideas from here on. I am planning to do a bios update. People have said that the bios update have fixed overheating issues. Thank you
