Is it possible to format my GE60 and do a clean install to remove all the bloatware and such that it came with? I have a Windows 8.1 Pro CD.

I have the MSI driver CD that came with the PC, i'm guessing that's the one i need to be using after i install windows.

Maybe. I would still go to the MSI site and get the latest Win8 drivers. Those on the CD may be old.

The MSI website is confusing to me, i might just have to use the CD.

Ya of course you can & why would a clean installation of windows mess up your PC ? you can always do a clean installation of windows anytime you want because sometimes you feel registry is messed up or Windows is damn slow .

use windows 8.1 Core its lite & good & pro is gr8 too , doesnt matter

Get the drivers you want from MSI site .drivers like Chipset , Intel's Integrated VGA driver , Sound , USB ports & ...

But get the Nvidia VGA driver from Geforce.com & try to use WHQL ones & always stay updated with your Nvidia drivers to get the best out of your VGA .

& if by saying bloatware you meant Windows 8 pre installed apps . it comes with windows 8 & there is one POWERSHELL command to get rid all of them . first run PowerShell as Administrator & then paste "Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage" & there ya go :)

I'm just worried i won't find the drivers for the PC since there's the Killer networks card in it aswell as the steelseries keyboard, both of which has their own software.

Then go to those websites and look.

Oh thats not true you will always find all the needed drivers . Killer network is the card in it thats right & its driver is 100% on MSI site . i dont even think you need the drivers for it . but anyway msi site should contain all the drivers you need thats for sure .

by the way your msi GE60 should contain a DVD with all the drivers
