[SOLVED] MSI GeForce GTS 450 N450GTS MD1GD5 and ASUS P5N-E SLI Compatible

My P5N-E SLI won't boot with my MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 N450GTS MD1GD5. Is this GPU compatible with this P5N-E SLI? The Award BIOS beep code states it could be a bad card or needs to be reseated.

The GTS450 is a very old card. Any chance it's dead? Does it work in other PCs?

The card is PCI-e x16 2.0 but the mb interface is 1.1. My first question is will the card work in the mb assuming their is nothing wrong with the card.? Maybe I need to clear the RTC first?

It's "supposed" to work with older specs. 3.0 works well in 2.0. From what I remember 2.0 didn't work as well in 1.0. Hence why 1.1 happened. From what I remember however there isn't really a way to tell. Update the bios and hope for the best.

Thanks. I checked with MSI and the specs for my card says it is backward compatible.
