Hi there,
I have updated my GPU from GEFORCE GTX 660 to the MSI GEFORCE GTX 1660Ti 6GB. I plugged it on the PCI-E 16x slot, connect the 8 pins power supply and 1 monitor or 2 via HDMI and DP. I tested a different combination of screens. When I switch on the computer, after a long delay, it sounds a 2 short beeps, pause, and 8 short and fast beeps. If I wait, I have a video signal, but the beeping continues forever. Any ideas why?
Specs:
MoBo ASUS Z8NA-D6
x2 Intel Xeon E5620 processors.
x4 RAM DDR3 de 8GB
Brand new power supply EVGA Supernova 850 G3 (850W)
I tested with no other devices plugged (hard drives, sound card...)
I tested with all the devices connected.
I cleared the CMOS.
I unplugged and plugged again several times, and I tested different power supply cable.
I updated MoBo BIOS to the last version.
My old GPU has no problem at all. It works like a charm.
Any ideas?
Thanks
