[SOLVED] MSI GF63 8RC extra memory stick

hi, i have this laptop with 1 SAMSUNG 2666mhz 19CAS ram:https://www.newegg.com/global/il-en/samsung-8gb-260-pin-ddr4-so-dimm/p/1X5-000A-002S4

now i am wondering what to buy to do dual channel, either buy a stick with same speed and timing for almost 49 usd ( price in my country Q.Q) or get new 8x2 kit

which will cost around 90 usd ( 2400mhz cas 16)

what is better and would i even notice the performance different

You should try and source the exact stick of ram, or better, buy a dual channel ram kit to run in dual channel mode on your laptop. Prior to performing your ram upgrade, make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your laptop.

i can get dual kit 8x2 for around 300 ils which is around 80 usd from newegg

Yeah, those are the two options.

Get exact same stick or a dual channel kit from another brand. DDR4-2666 is the key frequency you should be looking for. Also, make sure your BIOS is updated on that laptop.
