The memory is GDDR5. DDR stands for Double Data Rate. So some programs report the speed it runs while others GPU-Z reports the half speed. Everything is functioning fine. Also there is a trial version of 3Dmark available on Steam.
Ty for taking the time to explain
My confusion is that when buying the card, it's advertised "8000mhz memory clock" and not a single program anywhere I've used has shown that =P GPU-Z shows 2027, heaven benchmark shows 4054 and msi afterburn shows 4050 --- this 8000mhz is elusive ;p
So basically, I get your point, they all only show "half" or the real number (not the double) .. but then gpu-z shows only a quarter or ... ? ... confusing not to find a single program just showing the goshdarn numbers the vendors advertise haha
