Hi guys

So I recently managed to RMA'd my MSI GTX 780 on the 19th of July and I read online that guys saying they do not manufacture these cards anymore? I doubt B stock of these are available here where I am based (RSA)

What can I expect? A repaired card or replacement? Also how long must I wait until I get feedback? They didn't care to let me know they just handed me a print out with the order number etc etc

THANKS In ADVANCE

I'm surprised you still had a warranty on that card. It came out in 2013 and most manufacturers' have 1 - 3 warranties. Regardless, yes... they have not made those cards in awhile. You'll either get a refurbished one or the much smaller chance of a NOS(New Old Stock). If they do not have that card anymore, they'll replace it with a comparable model(what they deem as comparable anyway).
As for how long you have to wait, it varies. Could be a few weeks, could be a month or two. I'd suggest contacting them via chat/email/phone(whatever they have available).

Quick response

Awesome, Thanks I will contact them around the 19th of August since I handed the card in on the 19th of July

Listen, before handing the card over to these guys I told them I do not mind waiting because that's what they asked and luckily I at have intel 4600 on board graphics to keep me going in the mean time until then I don't game as much because I tend to focus a lot more on my music

Also another thing is, if you look at my previous thread here: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3441799/msi-geforce-gtx-780-twin-frozr-sparks-inside-case.html

You'll see there's no warranty but I took my chances like one of the guys suggested I have nothing to lose and I spoke my way into getting an RMA done. I didn't void the warranty that was on the card before this whole incident happened (I suspected these cards to last well over 10 years give or take)
