Msi gtx 960

Yo!
So I have recently bought my new gpu and when I unboxed it I found a little weird thing in the 6 to 8 pin connector, the msi gpu requires a 8 pin connector and I've found that the connector was kind of missing a pin, it had 7 slots and the 8th one was legit air, is this how its supposed to be or its a problem in the cable?

Probobly cable problem but if your psu has the connectors requireded by your 960 then dont worry
