I have 2 monitors, one is and HDMI and the other is VGA.
I bought an adapter for VGA to DVI but my MSI couldn't detect the VGA to DVI monitor.
I tried both ports and it didn't work.
What should I do?

Solution
What's your *exact* model of MSI GTX 970? Whether you need a standard DVI cable, a standard DVI cable with an *active* adapter, or a DVI dual-link cable depends on which model you have. A standard DVI cable and a standard cheapo adapter will only work if you have DVI-I ports.

I found out that it isn't an active adapter. Thanks!
