Hi I am wondering if anyone can help me determine if my idle temps for my gpu are alright or safe. My gpu is a MSI gtx 970 100ME and it is idling at around 45 degrees. Are temps good or bad?
Your fans aren't even running until the temperature hits ~64c, that's by design. That also means you're going to get slightly higher idle temperatures, but nothing to be concerned about. All perfectly normal.
45 is completely okay. If your idle temps get between 50-60 then I'd look into cleaning your pc or investing in an intercooler. GPU's and CPU's run at higher temps while idling (which is why they are the components with heat sinks and fans) so it should be fine. Is it overclocked in any way?
