Msi GTX 970 help

ok so i have a gtx 970 4gb from msi. And I am aware of the 0db cooling to where the fans don't kick in until 60c i believe (similar to the strix with the strix being 68c i believe). One question i have is that is this safe? 60c (ithink) is kind of high i thought. 2. Will this damage, lessen longevity or degrade the card or is it safe and it helps fan life and dust. i have 2 front intake fans, 1 outake and my psu is facing down not drawing from inside. is there anyway i can keep the 0db cooling but make it kick in at like 55c? i have msi btw, Thanks

Anything under 80C is fine for a graphics card. As far as I know the 60C is a set point from the factory.
