Hello everyone and happy new year to all.

I am guessing the problem is with GTX970, since before the upgrade my computer was fine.

Yesterday i bought a GTX970, to replace my aging HD5850. I erased previous drivers with DDU, installed nvidia, everything went fine. After 5 minutes, computer reboots. Like i pressed the reset button. While watching a youtube video.
I am looking around, checking the voltage and stuff, then after 8 minutes, a second reboot occurs. I then realist i forgot to unistal the amd's steam alike, forgot its name, the one where when you play, you gather points, and then the reboots stopped. I though this is it , i played skyrim for an hour, then sniper elite 3 for another hour. Then i run furmark, and heaven benchmarks. Everything is fine. Then while in desktop, tweaking the ini of skyrim, another reboot. 🙁

Googlng around, i installed afterburner and checked the "keep voltage steady option" so i hope this is it.

Any other ideas would be really helpful.

Solution
Old PSU's dont support the sudden voltage spike of Maxwell cards, which can go from sipping to big gulps.
Surprises the PSU's emergency shutoff.
Check if the PSU's rails handle the appropriate voltage.

that was it, i placed a newer psu i had for the living room pc, and even though it is 500w , for the last 2 days it works fine with no reboots. So thank you very much!
