Hello,

i've noticed several posts about this problem but yet there is no fix for it. so i give it a another try.

My system :

MSI Geforce GTX 970 4GB oc edition.
MSI Z97-G45 gaming board.
16 GB work memory.
Intel core i5 4460.

So my problem is my top fps on cs go is 180. and it drops to 120 most of the time.

I have changed the settings ingame to low etc. and the nvidia control panel.

I dont know what to do anymore. When i'm in the loading screen my fps goes to 1700 and when i play its between 120-180.

Can anyone help me? i can give u all the info u need.

I use this model http://www.bequiet.com/en/powersupply/387.

I installed windows 10 about a hour ago and updated every single driver i need! is that the wrong way? i use the latest drivers.

Hey so one thing you could check is if you're running PCI-E Gen2 or Gen3. A lot of people say it doesn't make a difference but since it's relatively easy to change might as well. Go to Nvidia Control Panel -> Help -> System Information -> then look for Bus: PCI Express x16 Gen? there it will say 1.1, 2, or 3. If it isn't 3 then go into your BIOS settings and find NB PCI configuration and set that to gen3 instead of Auto.

Well, in afterburner what is your temp max set to? It could be that your hitting your temp max so your GPU BIOS is throttling back power to reduce temperature but it seems unlikely that you would get throttled that far down. You could also go in to NVIDIA control panel and set the power mode in 3d settings tom "Prefer Maximum Performance" and see if that helps.
