MSI GTX 970 right fan weird grinding sound

rma it. i returned my gtx 980 ti right away when the fan started making a tapping sound. a noisy fan is a noisy fan. nothing you can do but replace it.

I mean around 65%-100% fan speed the noise disappears but anything under that the sound is very noticable

mine was doing the same thing. only made noise at low speeds. msi is going to have to replace your fan with an rma if it is still under warranty. you can google do it yourself videos of how to fix fans. there are a ton out there. that will void your warranty indefinitely though.

If you are outside of the return window then you would have to RMA the vendor, I would rather return it getrefund than to get it RMA'd

newegg has 30 day return policy. you cant return it after 30 days. you will need to contact msi. rma only costs you the price of one way shipping to the manufacturer.
