MSI GTX 970 Temp Questions

My msi gtx 970 when running demanding games gets to temperatures like 72-76 degrees celsius after a about an hour or 2 in and i was wondering if that seems to be a little too hot. i did have one die on my already i want to take better care of this one. Should i increase the fan speed of my gpu to help with the temp? if so can someone provide the default fan curve of the msi gtx 970 so i can base my own fan curve off of that one

That temp is actually fine.

When I had an MSI GTX 970 4GD5T OC it would hit those temps and occasionally top out at 80C.

The card can handle up until 90C or so until it starts throttling.

Maximum GPU Temperature for a GTX 970 is 98 Degrees C , so your still fine , the fan kicks in somewhere around 60 degrees , so you should be fine.

You can set a fan curve to keep the temps down if you need too.

Those temps are pretty decent. Though, with Maxwell, the cooler you keep the GPU, the higher it'll boost. Setting a custom fan curve is always a good idea.
