MSI GTX 970 with x58 Motherboard

Hi guys, I would like to ask if my old rig of:

x58 Motherboard (PCI-e 2.0)
Intel Core i7 920 (Bloomfield)
Corsair 400w 80+ Bronze<< (Probably CX, but never had a problem; stable)

would work if I upgrade with a GPU of:


MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G?

(or should I atleast change my PSU too?)

XFX Pro Series 750W xxx edition Semi Modular 80+ Bronze

Corsair TX750M 750W 80PLUS Bronze

and

Seasonic M12II-750 EVO 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully Modular


W/c of these would be best recommended?

Yes it will support however you should change that PSU.

It will work but a 400w psu is not good enough get at least a 500w from a good brand.

No plans for that for now. I might just go with 1 GPU.

Then 500W should be enough.But if you plan to do SLI 750W would be a good choice. Out of those 750W's the XFX is the best.
