MSI gtx480 random crashes?

I have a fairly old system with alot of stuff here. I recently upgraded to a gtx 480 (with a 260 for physx) from my sli-ed 260s. Now I get a random crash every once and a while. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem? I have all the newest drivers and my 480 is never got over 70 degrees and according to the afterburner software it is not even running hard. I will put some of my info below. Also, I have a pc power + cooling 750 power supply, if you need any more info please ask. Any help would be great thanks all. 😀

So your saying I should try the 480 without the 260 in? I was thinking that I might do that as well. I know the 260 workes fine so maybee it my 480? Thanks I will post an update you after try that. Keep the ideals comming.

I wouldn’t say it works better but I don’t experience any crashes with it. It just doesn’t make sense the gtx480 isn’t even working hard when it crashes it seems like something else. I have been thinking more and more that it may be my hard drive making this happen, if that’s even possible. I have a velocaraptor 300gb main hard drive it only gets a 5.9 wei my next lowest score is my cpu and ram at 7.4 with my vid card at 7.9. Thanks for the reply; I really don’t understand why I am having this issue. Here are some of the errors I get. Any more help would be grateful thanks again.

Your HDD score is fine.Almost all HDD's(with typical 7200RPM/32MB cache) get 5.9.
WEI isn't the best way to judge your system's performance.
Is it possible for you to test the GTX 480 in another system ?

For the info man, I just got in touch with MSI. I figure it is a faulty card and unfortunatly I am going to have to RMA the card it just wont hold a load. That is why it never gets over 70 degrees and only crashes my system on entensly graphical games like mafia 2. Anyhow I guess i will send it out soon, and I will go back to my 260 which is a real bummer but I cant have a crappy card that wont do what it should. I'm so bummed, but I guess thats how the cookie crumbles thanks again for the help. 😀
