MSI GTX680 lightning or MSI 7970 lightning?

should i choose the 7970 lightning or 680 lightning?



pc specs:

i5 3570k
16gb g.skill 1600mhz RAM
1TB hard drive
gigabyte GAZ77-DS3H
h60i corsair water cooler
750 W sentex solid power
and
680 lightning or 7970 lightning



i dont want any other type , just the lightning version , also feel free to comment on my spec

The 7970 is faster and usually cheaper aswell.

but , based on your experience , which one is better , and based on my specs is it going to be good?

Both I think are discontinued and not easy to come by. No telling which you'll be able to get cheaper however the Nvidia drivers tend to be better, and give smoother game play.

Missing most important stat .... what resolution ? At 1920 x 1080, I'd do 680 .... ah heck resolution id consider a 7970 ..... BUT .... and it's a big but, if ya have a PSU and MoBo capable of a 2nd card, I'd do the 680 as CF is not something I'd wanna deal with at this time.

keep in mind tho, that two 650 Ti Boosts beat both the 680 and 7970 Ghz edition for a hechuva lot less money

Also note, 780 and 770 around the corner
