I have build a brand new PC, fresh 1TB Seagate HDD, MSI H110 Pro-VD motherboard, and a Win7 install on a USB Key. I have used this USB key to install windows on another system just a month and a half ago with no problems. But this time I am getting "Bootmgr is missing, CTRL-ALT-DEL to restart" message.

I've enabed Windows 7 installation in the BIOS. The USB is set to first boot. I have tried multiple USB options in this boot menu; both UEFI and non-UEFI "USB CD-ROM/DVD, USB HDD, USB KEY", and it actually shows the USB key I have in (a Sandisk Cruzer). All come up the same, Bootmgr missing.

Since this worked before without a hitch I have a problem I'm missing something obvious. I hope you can help!

Solution
From mobo manual:
"Installing Windows® 7/ 8.1/ 10
1. Power on the computer.
2. Insert the Windows® 7/ 8.1/ 10 disc into your optical drive.
Note: Due to chipset limitation, during the Windows® 7 installation process, USB
optical drives or USB pen drives are not supported
."

So you can't install Win 7 from USB on this motherboard.
