Question MSI H110M PRO-VD PLUS No display output while the video card has power hooked up.

When I have the video card uninstalled or installed but with no power hooked up the mobo's VGA output works perfectly. When the video card is hooked up nether the video card or the mobo's video output works. I am using the VGA on the mobo and the DP on the video card. I had originally built this setup with a 450w PS and thought that was the problem. I upgraded to the 550w and still the same issue. Any ideas on what I should try next?

I had the same issue once
swapping the psu fixed it for you
might be a bad cpu mount? doubt it tho

maybe smthn wrong with the chipset (mobo)?

I doubt it's the cpu. The computer works great if the video card's power is disconnected. I thought it might be the bios, but the MSI bios isn't very complicated.
