Hi!

I just "upgraded" my moms old computer. I reused the case, psu and harddrive, but upgraded the motherboard to an MSI h110m pro-vh, ram to 2x4gb 2133 ddr4 and an Intel Pentium g4400 cpu.

I assembled the computer, turned it on and the fans spun up like they should. I then noticed that there wasn't any display-output, so I looked inside the mashine to find out that the EZ debugging CPU lit up. So far I have:

-Reinstalled the CPU
-Checked for bent pins on the MB (there are none)
-Using only one ram stick in either slot 1 or 2
-Rebuilding the system on the motherboard-box

I might test it using a different PSU, but only if nothing else works as taking apart my main system is a pain..

Hope to find this out as soon as possible, any help is appreciated!

Hi,
Is the 4 pin power cable connected to the motherboard?
If yes, and the CPU fan does spin when starting the board, then it might be a board or CPU issue. If new, I'd RMA them both.
If possible, testing a different power supply is also a good idea, to rule out a power issue.

Well yes the CPU cable is plugged in. The cpu fan was actually spinning like the case fan when turning it on. Sadly things might have gotten worse as the mainboard doesnt react at all when pressing the powerbutton. I will do one last full reasembly before contacting the shop i bought it from..

Maybe its dead from static electricity?? I dont use an antistatic wristband, but I do ground myself with the PC case/psu, and I build in a "non static" enviroment. I was just as careful as always, so I highly doubt this was the issue.
