So today I had my computer running for practically the entire day. Most of the time it was idle, but I did play some Overwatch. Later in the night I noticed that my fps was beginning to drop below 90 which was rare for me. I decided to turn my pc off and let it cool down for a bit.

When I go to turn it back on, the computer would not start. The LEDs on my motherboard and case fans would flicker on and off, but nothing else would happen. I tested out my motherboard with a separate PSU and it would not work then either. So i have come to a conclusion that it is a problem with my mobo.

Is there anyway of fixing this? Or should I just return my motherboard to the shop i bought it from and get a replacement? Any help would be much appreciated! :)

SPECS:
CPU - Intel i3 6100
GPU - Sapphire R9 380 NITRO+ 4GB
MOBO - MSI H170 Gaming M3
RAM - 2x4GB Kingston HyperX Fury Black
PSU - Corsair CX650M 80+ Bronze

Check for the following:

1) Any noticeable damage to the parts on the motherboard
2) Power button pins
3) SATA data and SATA power connections
4) Any loose PSU cables

It is also possible that the outlet you are using may be dead. Turn off the PSU, unplug the cable from the wall, plug it back in, and turn the PSU back on. Then see if the computer will start.

Tried all that you said. No luck. Looks like I'll just have to make a quick trip down to my local pc store to get a replacement motherboard...

RIP mobo. Good luck getting a new one! Sorry I couldn't help out much.
