MSI H270 Gaming Pro Carbon LGA, M.2 ssd bios setup

I have the mother board that is listed in the title and I am trying to install a Samsung M.2 970 Pro NVME. I have no idea to to actually use the space on it I have it installed and in the BIOS It is detected in the M2_2 slot but in my Directory on my PC the only thing that appears is my Samsung 500 gb ssd. How do I use the space/enable it?

Open disk management, right click and convert it to mbr.

Does it appear in disk management , so that it can be initialized.

Is it normal to loose storage when you add the "Unallocated" too normal storage? because it changed from 512 to 476 gigs
