MSI H55M-E33 1600mhz RAM Problem

HI, i want to change my 4 GB 1333 mhz ram module for a new one 4 GB 1600 mhz. Kingston fury.

After changed the module, the motherboard reboot constantly or show up blue screens.

in the motherboard site http://www.msi.com/product/mb/H55ME33.html#hero-specification
it says that support 1600 with an *, i don't really know what that means.

i tried with other memory modules of 1600mhz having the same problem.

The 1600* (and the others above) is for overclocking. Your motherboard probably doesn't support 1600mhz (or more) raw. This might be wrong though.

Also are you sure the new ram is DDR3?

yes, the new rams are DDR3 1600mhz

The rams are detected from BIOS at 1600MHZ but got blue screens on booting the system.

maybe i need to configure some OC settings for 1600mhz memory. any idea?

But the computer still launches w/o errors when you use the old ram of 1333mhz right?

What I meant in my earlier answer isn't that it supports a raw 1600mhz, but lets say a 1333mhz one OC'd to 1600mhz.
Please try to use your old one again to see if you can launch your system w/o error.

Yeah I'm sorry to say it only supports 1333mhz DDR3 ram.
In any case, you don't want to overclock anyway. The risk is high, but the rewards is fairly low. I don't know what useage this PC has, but unless you want to upgrade some more components I'd try to return the ram stick to the store.
