MSI H61M-P31 (G3) & Intel i5 2400 RAM

Hi!

I wonder if it will be any harm for me to buy 1600mhz ram for this system? Intel says that the CPU only supports up to 1333mhz and according to MSI 1600mhz RAM only works on ivy bridge processors which mine is not.

Reading from the forums and what not the RAM will clock down to 1333mhz if im right?

Yes, should be able to run fine at 1333, initially prob (depends on BIOS) default to 1066 then just set the sticks to 1333, any problems, give a shout
