MSI H81M-P33 work with i7 4790K

Just as the title says. A friend of mine is offering me a i7 4790k for $275. He also offer a motherboard MSI H81M-P33 for $60. Will that be any problem and will it have issues with my Asus R9 290X OC? I never owned a micro atx so I don't know. I don't plan to overclock at all.

The both sockets matches so it compatible. However it will prompt the user or you a BIOS update.

However since you are not overclocking, I recommend you to get the i7-4790.

And also don't get the H81 chipset, the H97 is a better choice.



Regarding the graphics card, you will have no problem at all.
