Hi guys, my first time in a hardware forum,
I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I'm totally confused right now.

I recently build a pc, with MSI H97 Gaming 3 motherboard,
and just now, one of the heat sink fell off (the one on the right)

my question is:
- will it overheat?
Currently I only do light gaming such as DotA2, and Guild Wars 2, so... will it?

- how do i reattach it?
I've tried google the solution but it told me to use the Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive.
but I can't find any in my country (Indonesia, which is frustrating),
and I'm not a tech guy (my first pc).

my pc specification is:
-CPU: Intel i5 4690
-MB: MSI H97 Gaming 3
-GPU: msi gtx970 tiger edition(not gaming),
-RAM: Team Elite 8gb 1866 MHz
-HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB
-SSD: Team Elite Dark 128GB
-COOLING: Enermax ETS-T40
-PSU: Enermax Revolution Xt Gold 730W
-CASE: NZXT H230

Thank You!

Wait until you get an answer. You should get a refund/replacement if it come damaged when you opened it.
If you are refused, then you could then try the motherboard's manufacturer directly. Your last resort should be fixing it yourself or buy a new motherboard.

Actually, It's damaged while delivered to me. I've tried to contact the company, trying to claim the insurance (I include insurance to get full cash back if its damaged on the way), and i'm still waiting for answer from them.

but, just in case It's a no, what should i do?

Thank You!

Ok, I will wait for the answer. they said they will let me know tomorrow.
And actually, I tried turning it on (the shop told me to test it), and it works just fine.
I checked the temperature and its on 40Celcius maximum, while playing some youtube video, and light browsing (average temperature here is 32Celcius-35Celcius)
Is it bad?

Thank You!

If the product is damaged, you didn't get your product as intended regardless if it works out fine or not.

True, I will let you know when they reply me tomorrow!

Thank You!

hey, I've gone and reattach the heat sink, i think that solves it! thanks for your time!
