I have a MSI K8N NEO4 SLI platinum, I however don't know what the orange PCI slot is for because I got this board used from my brother-inlaw with no manual. Is this slot for a wireless internet card? I currently have that card in another pci slot
As long as the wireless card is working and has the proper 12v power, no. A PCI slot can not provide anything more to a wireless adapter in the way of performance. I owned two of the boards.
Use the orange PCI slot like any of the white PCI slots. I believe the orange PCI slot ofers a bit more voltage to any adapter that may need additional voltage.
