MSI K9A D.O.T. help

When i set my D.O.T. to say 10% and reboot cpuz can see the OC for about 30 seconds, Then it resets itself to stock speed. Is there a setting in Vista 64 that could be doing this? If not, what am i doing wrong ?

It resets itself to stock speed? or does the multiplier simply go to a lower value?

If speed step, EIST or C1E is enabled, they can, while idle, make it look like you are at a lesser speed. Its a power saving function.

You can check for them in the Bios.

Just run some stuff when it steps down the speed, and if it instantly jumps back to OC mode, then that is what it is!

The OS will not down clock your system.
It's speed step or the the MSI over clock software.

Don't use DOT or other manufacturer-supplied overclocking software, as they just cause problems. Manually set the appropriate settings in the BIOS>

Im trying to figure how to do that. But its like reading Russian to me
