Question MSI kraitgaming x370 mobo not detecting cpu

I just bought a Ryzen 5 3600 to replace my old 1600x (out of necessity since 2 of the pins got bent while I was taking it apart to move).

Unfortunately by mobo's onboard debug LED's are showing that it isn't detecting the CPU. Could it be a socket issue? how do I check if the socket is damaged?

Everything else seems to be working fine on the board, but since I can't access the bios i cant be 100% sure.

Does the MB have the proper BIOS?

True totally slipped my mind, thanks. It sucks that I dont have a compatible processor to update it tho. Hopefully someone I know has an older processor I can use to update.
