I am new to building a computer. I have the KT PRO, 300 WAT PS and Case, and all the other baisics (floppy, CD, HD). When I put everything together the computer would not turn on. I checked all the cables and after pressing the power button a few times the computer came on for 5 seconds then went off. I again checked all the cables, but it never came on again. I took the PS back to the computer store and they said it was fine, he hooked it up and it came on. The store said if the floppy was not connected properly it wouldnt turn on. I went home and the floppy is connected, what else could it be?

I think if you check the a7 thread there's a guy with the same problem. It's likely the CPU fan is not doing its job. If you're fast enough you can go into the bios and check your cpu temperature. If it's going up fast just pull the plug and don't turn on the board until you get the cooling fixed.

You can make your own cooler with a good heat sink and a powerful fan from an electrical distributor. It ain't cheap though - the fans cost from $22 and up.
