Question MSI laptop fan buzzing

I discovered this morning that my MSI laptop has started producing this horrible whine/buzzing sound from the fan. I'm hoping it's just a bit of dirt/dust, but I can't find out at the moment. I have a horrible feeling it won't be as simple as that and it'll be an expensive endeavour to sort out. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing it? Or what I could try? As I say, I'm not in a situation where I can open it and use a can of compressed air at the moment.

EDIT: I've noticed that the fan on the other side isn't working at all. This isn't boding well... :-\

Not necessarily, the 2nd fan may not fire up until the heat gets to a certain point, BUT u know your laptop more than I do.

All u can do at this point, until u are able to open it up, is to use a household vacuum in the attempt to suck any dust ball (u hope).

Whew. I've just done a test using the MSI Game Centre and put the fans to max. The second one has kicked in now. It's just the left one that needs some investigating.
