Question MSI Lightning Z (2080Ti)

Hello Guys

I bought a RTX 2080ti Lightning Z from a friend of mine, he will be here with it in a few days.

Current card is a GTX 1080 which uses one 8 pin power cable.

Many of you know that the lightning Z needs with THREE of those suckers.

Now, one power cable is good to go, I just use the old one - I've added one more 6+2 pin into the PSU which splits into 6+2 x 2

2x 6+2 , I am just wondering - am I good to go or will this not work?

PSU is a RM750x from Corsair

Yes, I think it should work. That PSU is already having a total of 4 PCI-e 8-pin cables.

If those are indeed the 6+2 PCIE cable/connectors that came with the PSU in the box, yes you're good to go.

Just out of curiosity, what are you FULL PC specs, by the way ? Are you running a very high refresh rate 144Hz 4K monitor, or something similar to that ? That's a pretty solid flagship GPU from MSI, expensive though.

Yeah it's crazy expensive , but I got 500€ off the price

I will be mostly playing at 3440x1440 @120 Hz..

The 1080 just couldn't cut it anymore.

That's one heck of card...But uses 3 8-pin cables ?? Sounds overkill, lol.

It is build for enthusiasts and very high overclocking (LN2L, normal TDP is 350 watts, so just above what 2 8 pins can deliver.

Since I got it for a very good price , I am more than happy!
