Review MSI MAG A550BN PSU Review

I think there's an error in the MSI MAG A550BN review: "Positioned at the rear are the AC receptacle, power switch, and a button for enabling or disabling the hybrid fan mode, which allows the fan to remain off at low loads, minimizing noise."

I own this power supply, and there's no hybrid fan mode button. There's also no button visible in the photos of the power supply in the review.

its interesting psu but wouldn't put it in anything major with it with the lower components

if its running at low load most of its life and in a decent airflow case not a hot box it should be fine for low powered cards if they used a better component at start for passive side

50 usd

there are a few psus in that price range that in uk that could easily challenge it.

and channel well psus without evga etc are all over the place in uk.

unsure if usa gets those psus though i own a couple of them. ive considered getting some opening them up and seeing what the parts are on some of there £30 pound range as a comparison lol.

Totally unreliable review. Is this review even for this product is it just a cut and paste job from another review. To quote:

"Positioned at the rear are the AC receptacle, power switch, and a button for enabling or disabling the hybrid fan mode, which allows the fan to remain off at low loads, minimizing noise. The modular cable connectors are located at the front, with a subtle legend printed nearby for ease of identification."

The picture clearly shows no hybrid mode button and it's not a modular power supply.

Very sloppy "journalism".
