Question MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK or MB with DDR 5?

Depends on your budget. It cost a few hundred dollars more to be on current generation hardware. If you will use those features, or having an up to date system is something you care about, then it might be worth the investment. For me personally, if I'm going to the trouble of making an entirely new system, I want it to be up to date with the latest generation, even if it costs me one or two hundred dollars more. For most people, unless their budget is under 800 bucks USD, they can usually afford the upgrade.
 
Would the MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK be good or should I get something with DDR 5?
It has little to do with DDR4 or 5 but much more about whole different platform including CPU and PCIe versions, much more important than RAM.
Those are your options to consider, older and on it's way out platform or new one that can be upgraded in next few years. RAM version just comes with it.
