Depends on your budget. It cost a few hundred dollars more to be on current generation hardware. If you will use those features, or having an up to date system is something you care about, then it might be worth the investment. For me personally, if I'm going to the trouble of making an entirely new system, I want it to be up to date with the latest generation, even if it costs me one or two hundred dollars more. For most people, unless their budget is under 800 bucks USD, they can usually afford the upgrade.
