interesting. i been looking at the 6700 xt around this price. might have to pull the trigger for this for the same money....

all the comparable nvidia cards are $100 more to start with and only 8 gb ram....

i wanted to go nvidia since they tend to work better on linux usually, which is my daily driver now. but not for the money they still cost vs amd cards.

I use windows and don't know much about linux, but the first time I've heard that Nvidia is better for linux, literally everyone has the opposite opinion, on the internet that is.

i have both in my system right now and i struggle to find drivers for my amd card and it can be fussy. some searching about for info kept turning up that nvidia was easier to get working and this was true in my very limited experience. true i am working with an older card that might be part of the problem.

that's all i got to go on really. i ordered this card anyway and will figure it out, but i kind of already know what i will be facing. there are official amd drivers for the newer cards and i hope they work easy enough as i really prefer supporting AMD over nvidia for sure. i'll buy nvidia when the price is right, but last few years that has def not been the case.

I can tell you exactly when this deal will end: yesterday. My computer has been problematic, and I finally determined the graphics is the likely suspect. After some desperate research, I settled on the 6750, had it in my cart at newegg ready to go. I have been holding out until June 18 because rumor has it the 7700 could be released at some major Chinese trade show. Yesterday my computer took a turn for the worse, so I decided to pull the trigger and buy it.

My jaw dropped because the price had ballooned to nearly $600. Hell no. At least shipping was now free ($5 before), but no more discount code for $20 off. Today the card has dropped back down, but it is now $350 after the $10 rebate, and you get Resident Evil 4 for free.

Mysteriously my computer seems to run fine using Ubuntu on a usb. I think I will get an RTX 3060 Ti instead and save myself a little money.
