I've just received my 1300W MSI PSU from Scan today and upon installing it I have realised that some of the PCI connectors can't even be connected to the PSU because the lock/snap mechanism to make sure the cable locks into place are blocked by what appear to be capacitors.

I have everything connected and ran some tests using Furmark while checking PSU monitoring via MSI Centre and it appears to be fine but it just seems incredibly weird that some of the connectors are blocked?

(Sorry for the blurry image)

The 6 pin sockets are not for PCI-e as written on top of the sockets. What are you trying to connect to these sockets?

And yes, that's a capacitor.

Just the normal 6 pin cables supplied with the PSU, the locking clip can't go in

Edit:

I believe it was the Sata power cables connecting to the 6 pin on the PSU, ended up connecting them elsewhere.

Also went looking for images and found an image from Kitguru - I can see the capacitors in the same spots but mine appear to be much lower
