Hi guys,

I am looking to buy a mobo for my new computer, it is a MSI B250M Mortar. Apparently it has an 4 pin rgb header so that you can sync a RGB strip with the backlighting from the mobo. I have a RGB led strip laying in my house but it is connected to a controller so that you can use it with a remote. I was wondering if i could desolder it from the controller and connect it to the 4 pin RGB header on my mobo. And how could I connect the desoldered RGB strip to the RGB header on the mobo?

Solution
If you go to MSIs page for that mobo, you can download the manual for it. The manual has a detailed explanation of both the pins and where to connect it, aswell as an URL to a Youtube video.
