I suspect that my motherboard is not working anymore.
The model is MSI H61M-P31 and I am thinking about buying a new one but the problem is that I don't think that this model is available in my country anymore. But I can find MSI H81M-P33.
I wonder if there won't be any compatibility issues with the other parts of my computer.
This is the comparison between them:

Unfortunately my little experience is not enough to know if it should be okay or not.

What are your current system's specs? Please list them as,
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Unfortunately no, you can't drop in your existing LGA1155 processor onto the LGA1150 MSI H81M-P33 motherboard. You will need at least an H71 motherboard.

My computer is not turning on after I tried to replace my old RAM and even when I returned the old RAM it didn't turn on. I think that I didn't placed the new RAM good enough and it burnt the motherboard some how (I smelt some smoke).
And also I can't find the document that describes the system specs.
The CPU is the main compatibility problem? If I will buy an H61 motherboard but from a different vendor (let's say Gigabyte) it whould be fine?

Ram is very delicate component. It can be very easily killed by ESD (electrostatic discharge).
If you don't know, how to handle delicate electronics, then most likely, that's the component you killed.

And yes - any other H61 motherboard will be compatible with MSI H61M-P31.

So are you suggesting that the new RAM is killed and not the motherboard? I returned the old RAM that was working good before and it didn't work also.

Can't tell that without proper tests, but yes - it's a possibility. Also possible, that both are killed.

I'd suggest taking your pc to computer repair shop, to diagnose it properly.
