After adding a couple of 8GB RAM sticks to my already 16GB system, it worked fine. A couple of bumps here and there, especially after attempting to overclock the RAM, but the system was running smoothly. I was overclocking the RAM to 3300MHz from a base 3200MHz, and managed to get the system to boot, albeit unstable. However, after one attempt to overclock the RAM from 3200MHz to 3300MHz, the system shutdown and now flashes the EZ-Debug LED from a short CPU flash to a long DRAM flash (repeats).
When the RAM modules are removed from the system and the power is turned on, the CPU is correctly detected, and the DRAM EZ-Debug LED remains on. That shows me at least that the CPU works. Whenever the RAM modules are inserted again, the same pattern of LEDs flash. I've tried putting a new, working, and stable module in, and it still shows me the same pattern. I assume that the motherboard's RAM slots are malfunctioning, but I can't be quite sure. What would be the exact issue causing this, and is there any way to get it resolved that doesn't involve RMA?
Edit 1: After unstable overclocks, the system would show a failure message stating that the ME FW is "abnormal". However, returning to stable clock speeds removed the message.
