  1. e8500 is compatible with your board but may require BIOS upgrade to work. Consult MSI.
  2. Your SATA version is 1.0
  3. Adding an SSD to your board wouldn't make sense as SATA 1 xfer rates are capped at 150 MB/s. Also not sure SSD's work with SATA 1 as SATA 1 doesn't support NCQ and not sure you could find drivers that would work with SATA 1.

Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
  • Core 2 Duo E7xxx (Wolfdale-M)
  • Core 2 Duo E4x00 (Conroe)
  • Pentium E2xxx series (Conroe)
  • Celeron Dual Core E1xx0 series (Conroe)
  • Celeron 4xx series (Conroe)
Motherboard supports 4 Serial ATA hard drives allowing up to 3Gb/sec transfer rate per port.

PC Specs com Begs to differ. 4 SATA 1.0 ports, 0 Sata 2 ports. Sata 1.0 is capped at 150 MB/s, so OP will never see 3gb/s transfer rate from any of these ports thus making an SSD upgrade pointless.
