Question MSI Mystic Light does not work. (GPU)

Hi, I have never had any problems with MSI Mystic Light, but all of the sudden when I press 'apply' to change the RGB nothing happens. The last time I changed the rgb of my GPU I changed it to 'Flowing (blue)'. And it is just stuck there, when I change the led style and press apply nothing changes. I have always had multiple RGB control software because my hardware is from multiple brands, but I have never had any issues. I hope somebody out here has an idea of why this is.

Things I tried:

Restarting PC.

Reinstalling MSI Center

Closing other rgb software, (the ones I have are logitech g hub, Icue and steelseries.)

Thanks :)

Hey there,

I'd suggest you try out SignalRGB. It's an excellent piece of kit for managing 'all' onborad lighting from one app. The one app to rule them all 😉 The free version works fine. You don't need to purchase the pro version, unless you want a few extra features which are not worth it IMO..

Let us know how you get on with it. You will need to disable each of the other services, but once done you will have full control of everything in the one place.

I had the premium version for a while, but I don't think my gpu is supported :/

Uninstall MSI's Mystic Lighting app/widget or whatever it s on MSI center app and then reinstall it. 've had the same thing happen to my GPU and the rest of my RGB, until I removed it and reinstalled it. Also helps if your motherboard is on the latest BIOS version.
So you only uninstalled the widget or whatever it is? Not msi center it self?

I updated my bios and uninstalled mystic light, sadly didn't fix anything

I just found a solution (kinda)! It is more a workaround but I am able to change the RGB finally. I just installed OpenRGB and this worked without any issues. Kinda sad the software intended to control RGB works worse compared to third-party software. Thanks the advice !!

Oh good. That's a result. Yes, Icue, MSI, Armoury crate are all poor software. Icue probably best out of those.

I'll have a look at open rgb myself 👍
