MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC or Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950 3GB?

Hello everybody,

First sorry for my very bad english(im not from england or america : P)

I have a problem, i going to build a game pc and i cant decide witch GPU.
I wil mostly play games like: Far cry 3, Planetside 2, WoW........
The hardware i wil buy:

PSU: Corsair CMPSU-600CXV2EU 64,10 euros

CPU: Intel core i5 3470 169,30 euros

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H 84,30 euros

Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950 3GB 272,70 euros

Zalman Z11 Plus 57,30 euros

Harddisk: Seagate barracuda 1tb 7200rpm already owned

This was my first plan and i was sure i wanted to do this. But then some one posted a build with a MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC. And it was 200 euros where the hd7950 270 euros is.

And i didnt see a big of a difference between specs and the reviews were good.

(I have too say i perfer AMD and wil be alot less happy with Nvidea witch is actually weird but true:/)


My question is is the Hd 7950 worth the extra 70 euros?

Im not planning to oc the first year maybe later but not sure. (kinda afraid i wil make his live shorter :/)

If you have the Money, a 7950 is alot better than GTX 660.
Its on the par with GTX 660Ti

And I must warn you about Gigabyte they have Voltage Lock, So you'll not be able to Overclock.

I know my post is just created but i have decided to buy a HD 7870 its costs alot less and it perfecly fine for gaming for another 3 years maybe (first high-at the end medium settings) and then il buy a new mid/high card for 200 euros : )

So i have a little more to invest for a 3570k

And even safe a little

Now i look at your benchmark cart the hd7870 isnt bad at al !!
And it goes fro the same price as a gtx 660

GTX 660 maybe a little slower in terms of fps.
But is smoother, you'll not get any miscrostutter

GTX 660 has features like Physx, Adaptive V-sync and TXAA.
Which are worth getting it. These features will give you the Best Gaming experience.

Now Google all the features and know the Benefit of them.

I still suggest a GTX 660 over 7870.
And I too have MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC
