Dear all,

I have been waiting an age to get my hands on a non reference R9 290, and have seen a pre-order appear here: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-239-MS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752

I would like to know:
A) Whether the recent price spikes (Litecoin etc) have effected the non-reference prices for this card

and

B) Whether we are likely to see any significant fall in price - 1. at all, and 2. by the end of Jan/Feb.

Thank you kind people! :)

So no real point in waiting? Guess i could be waiting a while...!

I`d say go for it. I didn`t have the money to go for the R9 290 non-ref, but would have loved it.
However, due to high demand for the R9 280x, the prices sky-rocketed at least in Poland.
I got my Matrix R9 280x from Asus with 60$ cheaper, because the shop didn`t have the Toxic in stock anymore.
1 day after my purchase, there was no more R9 280x in the shops.
2 days later, all the prices went up with atleast 100$ for EVERY R9 280x.

I think once these beasts hit the market, the prices will stay quite high for a while...
