I have no idea which two of these awesome cards to get, but i guess the lightning is for overclocking etc and the asus is more performance wise, but the max things ill get in the future is 3 monitors.

i am planning to sli these two in like 2 years at most.

just not sure which one..
lightning is more quite & cooler?

please some tips etc to help me decide :)

thank you.

Both are excellent cards but overclocking is limited since Nvidia limit their voltage on 680 (I think it's the same with other Keplers). I'm more MSI bias (I know myself), and I think you should get the lightning (especially if the ASUS card is a triple slot card). To be entirely honest, I don't think 680s are worth it. 2 670s offer 90% performance of 2 680s at a greatly reduced cost.

i agree on you with that, what is the best 670 card, in your opinion ?

The II is a double slot.

I'd get the Asus, and not bother with the TOP version. If you'r case has good enough air flow you can have the fans slow enough for it to be silent.

Correct.. Newer Asus DirectCU II cards are double slotted..

If you're Running it on 3 monitors? I would suggest buying 4GB version cause when gaming on 1080p triple monitor setups would consume roughly 2GB+ VRAM usage..
