right now im realy torn between the msi and the asus versions of the R9 290 so i want some help on which one to get im looking at who has better cooling, performence and most stable card. Thanks

While those cards tend to trade off on benchmarks, for the most part, the ASUS cards are GENERALLY preferred more by consumers (and myself). Also, the temperatures that they run at are marginally different. I would go with the ASUS because the MSI cooler tends to be a bit louder.

In that case, the MSI Twin Frozr is the best stock cooler on the market at the moment. I would get that if you can find it.

The MSI Twin Frozr cooler that they put on their cards is the best non aftermarket cooler you can buy in terms of temperature. This is because it has larger heatsinks and cooling fins than other GPU coolers, as well as having larger fans.

The ASUS will simply run quieter.

After looking at benchmarks, the ASUS cooler is quieter at low load, and the MSI cooler is quieter at full load. Both coolers are great though, and will probably never be used too heavily.

MSI and ASUS both make fast, stable cards. I'd just get the one that you think looks better, as they're so close.
