I have what I hope is an easy question, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I am sure it is because I don't know what keywords to be using.

So I built my first rig this weekend using a Cooler Master HAF 932 Full Tower and a MSI P67A-C43 B3 (1155 chipset) motherboard among other components, which aside from a bad video card and some beeping that still occurs even though the system boots, went really well.

I don't think I am thrilled with the motherboard but regardless, the reason I am asking the community is that the HAF case comes with four USB 2.0 front ports and two USB 3.0 ports. They have 3 cables (2 USB and 1 USB 3.0) that need to be hooked into the mobo, yet the MSI board only has one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 on-board pin connection. I checked the manual and there are only 1 on-board connection each.

My question is, what can I do about that using this motherboard? Are there other connectors that I can use as a substitute? Or possibly is there a "splitter" or something to plug the 2 pin sets into that would allow me to plug both into the one mobo connector?

If anyone wants to tackle the beep question, that would be great (I have the page that gives beep codes but I am not sure if that helps considering the computer posts), but I am mostly interested in the USB dilemma at the moment.

THANKS!

Kevin

NO is what I would go for based on the fact the USB board pins will be a single channel and it will be pointless as you will only be able to use one USB slot at a time anyway... do further research tho as this is just my understanding.

Do you need all those USB ports anyway? 😀

Good luck
